Ross Muken Deutsche Bank Securities
Ross Muken of Deutsche Bank Securities claims the No. 3 spot, thanks in part to his “ruthless focus on quantifying the commercial value of these technologies,” in the words of one investor. Last October, Muken initiated coverage of Bruker Corp. of Billerica, Massachusetts, with a buy rating, at $10.48. The San Francisco–based analyst believed the maker of spectrometers and other instruments used in molecular research would benefit from economic stimulus programs designed to boost capital expenditures. The stock had risen 13.5 percent by the end of August, to $11.89.
