The University of Reading has appointed BlackRock for its new defined contribution (DC) plan, Professional Pensions reports. The asset manager will offer the University of Reading Pension Scheme with asset management, administration and other related services for the new scheme. Nearly 200 new university employees are expected to join the fund per year. The fund is also open to workers who have not already joined. The new participants in the scheme will be able to invest in six BlackRock funds, including the DC Diversified Growth Plus Fund.
