THIRD TEAM David Driscoll Citi
David Driscoll rises from runner-up, where he spent the past four years, to the No. 3 spot. The Citi researcher is “one of the most conscientious and earnest analysts around,” marvels one investor. Clients continue to profit from Driscoll’s long-standing buy on baby-formula manufacturer Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. of Glenview, Illinois. Driscoll first recommended the stock back in March 2009, at $26.19, and has highlighted the call repeatedly since, citing “the rise of the middle class in the emerging markets and their need for high-quality infant formula.” The stock catapulted 172.1 percent, to $71.25, and outpaced the sector by a stunning 124.3 percentage points, through August 2011 — surging 38.8 percent in the past year alone.
