BlackRock has rolled out three mutual funds featuring alternative investment strategies. The new funds will be available to the firm’s retail and high net worth investors via financial intermediaries. The BlackRock Commodity Strategies Fund will offer complete commodities exposure to investors through commodities futures equities with exposure to natural resources.
The BlackRock Emerging Markets Long/Short Equity Fund will identify mis-valuations over stocks and markets in a risk-controlled manner. The BlackRock Global Long/Short Credit Fund is an interest-rate-neutral, global long/short credit fund aimed at creating total returns from credit markets.
