Hiroyuki Okaseri Nikko Cordial Securities

 After two years on top, Hiroyuki Okaseri slips to second place. Okaseri, who joined Nikko Cordial Securities in September after ten years at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co. and its predecessor firms, wins praise from clients for his “wealth of knowledge” and “good relationships with top management teams.” The analyst relaunched coverage in October with an underweight rating on the paper subsector, on declining prices and soft demand. By the end of February, paper and forest products shares had underperformed the broad market by 8 percentage points.

Polling and tabulation of data as well as reporting on the sector profiles were completed before the March 11 Tohoku earthquake.
