Bazinet publishes “brilliantly distilled and strategic reports,” according to one buy-side enthusiast. The analyst downgraded EchoStar Corp. to neutral in April, at $20.65, on valuation, after shares of the Englewood, Colorado–based maker of digital set-top boxes had gained 39.5 percent since his buy recommendation the previous August. Good call. By the end of August, EchoStar’s shares had slid 9.6 percent, to $18.66.
