Investor interest in corporate bonds has hit a five-year low, according to a JPMorgan Securities survey. The survey found that the overall weighting of corporate bonds has dropped from 0.69 to 0.62, largely because of concerns about inflation, uncertainty about continued interest rate increases and a flat Treasury yield curve. In turn, the survey states that the cash index has climbed to 0.95, well above the five-year 0.87 average. The study reflects recent dissatisfaction by investors over low returns.
