French oil company, Total, is looking to sell its Lindsey refinery in the U.K., The Wall Street Journal reports. The company is negotiating a deal with a preferred bidder, who has not been named.

Total expected to complete the deal by the end of first quarter of 2011. Total had earlier received several offers fro Lindsey, including one from Swiss oil refining company, PetroPlus Holdings.
