In second place for a second straight year is the 22-member UBS troupe co-directed by Alexander Hugh and Madrid-based Bosco Ojeda. Clients prize the team’s monthly “top 20” list of stocks expected to outperform, especially November 2008’s addition of Glasgow-based Aggreko, at 494.25p, on the portable-generator provider’s growing business in sub-Saharan Africa. The stock had skyrocketed a whopping 222.9 percent, to 1,596p, and bested the sector by a jaw-dropping 172.4 percentage points by November 2010, and the analysts removed it from their list. “They were right in continuing to push it,” cheers one backer. The stock closed 2010 at 1,482p, down 7.1 percent since the analysts withdrew their recommendation.
