International vaccine agency GAVI Alliance has received $4.3 billion to continue its immunization plans until 2015, The Wall Street Journal reports. The charity raised the money from donors, including U.K., Norway and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Sweden offered $201 million, Norway offered $677 million and the U.S. pledged $450 million to GAVI. The U.K. gave $1.34 billion, while the Gates Foundation pledged $1 billion to the charity.
