Aditya Birla Group has purchased Swedish specialty pulp maker, Domsjo Fabriker, for $340 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Indian group’s units, Thai Rayon Public and Indo-Bharat Rayon, have acquired the company from a Swedish consortium. The group will pay $75 million as capex, taking the total value of the deal to $415 million, adds Business Standard. The two subsidiaries will pay $180 million, while $160 million will be provided by a special purpose vehicle created for the acquisition and $75 million will be raised backed by Domsjo’s books.
