BlackRock has expanded its suite of index mutual funds for defined contribution (DC) plans. The firm boasts a range of 16 core index mutual funds. In June, the investment management firm launched nine BlackRock LifePath Index Portfolios and the All Country World Index ex U.S. Fund.
The latest funds are included in a product suite that also consists of BlackRock’s S&P 500 Stock Fund, Small Cap Index Fund, which is benchmarked against the Russell 2000 Index, and the International Index Fund, which tracks the MSCI EAFE Index. As of June 30, BlackRock handled over $2 trillion in index-based products ranging from equity, fixed-income, multi asset and alternative investment strategies.
