Four of the country’s largest banks have been asked by a group of seven public-sector pension fund systems to review their foreclosure practices amid the disclosure of problems with their methods. In a letter to Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, the group stated there is a “fundamental” flaw in the practices, and asked the banks to report the results of their reviews in their annual proxy statements.
