HSBC Holdings is seeking to hire around 2,000 staff for its Asian branches, The Wall Street Journal reports. The lender will complete the hiring process for its staff in Singapore and mainland China over the next five years.

The bank is looking to add at least 200 staff in China annually through 2016 and expand its Singapore workforce by about 1,000, adds Bloomberg. Currently, HSBC employs over 5,000 people at its Chinese outlets, with additional staff at processing centers.
