Ronald Linde and Maxine Linde have established an $18 million endowment to create a global climate change center at Caltech, Pasadena Star-News reports. The endowment has been set up to unify faculty in chemistry, engineering, environmental science and other fields.
The building, which is currently called the Henry M Robinson Laboratory of Astrophysics, will be renamed Linde + Robinson Laboratory after renovation. Under the Ronald and Maxine Linde Center for Global Environmental Science, faculty and students from all academic divisions will collaborate on climate change study.
