Altria Group has raised $1.5 billion through a sale of senior notes, The Wall Street Journal reports. The notes, which carry a coupon rate of 4.75%, are scheduled to mature on May 5, 2021. The tobacco company appointed Goldman Sachs and RBS as the active joint bookrunning managers for the transaction. Citigroup served as the passive bookrunner.
