Barclays Capital (BarCap) has appointed Alicia Yap as head of China Internet and Jason Mann as head of China pharma/healthcare within Asia ex-Japan equity research, The Asset reports. Yap will be in charge of developing and leading coverage of the Internet sector in China, while Mann will be responsible for heading coverage of the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector in China.

The duo will be based in Hong Kong. Yap will report to Anand Ramachandran, head of telecoms, Internet and media sector, Asia ex-Japan equity research and Mann will report to Stephen O’Sullivan, head of Asia ex-Japan equity research.
