Jefferies Group’s principal operating subsidiary Jefferies & Co. has hired Guy Cornelius as a managing director (MD) and head of sterling credit sales, and Christian Janssen as a managing director and head of commercial real estate debt capital markets Europe. Cornelius will manage the sales of British pound-denominated fixed-income securities and will be reporting to Jon Pliner and Frank Cerveny, co-heads of Jefferies’ European credit business.

Janssen will be in charge of European commercial real estate related capital markets transactions and will be reporting to Steve Hulett and Craig Tipping, co-heads of Jefferies’ European MBS/ABS group. Most recently, Cornelius and Janssen were at Japanese financial holding firm Nomura Holdings and global investment bank Barclays Capital, respectively.
