Goldman Sachs has appointed Alexandra Merz as managing director and head of European energy marketing and sales, Financial News reports. In her new role, Merz will work under Leslie Biddle, head of EMEA commodity sales. Most recently, she served as head of energy sales for EMEA at JP Morgan. Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2007, she was working with Deutsche Bank as head of European gas and power origination.
