State University of New York (SUNY) Research Foundation’s head John O’Connor has quit from his role, Business Journal reports. The board of trustees has accepted his resignation.

O’Connor was scrutinized after he hired former majority leader Joseph Bruno’s daughter Susan Bruno, who allegedly performed little work. The foundation manages above $1.3 billion in annual grants and research money within the SUNY system.
