Asset manager Alpha Fund Managers has awarded a $60 million mandate to BlackRock, Investor Daily reports. BlackRock’s Australian Equities long/short strategy will handle the mandate. Previously, the mandate was managed by Lodestar Capital Managers. The firm was terminated as BlackRock suited the multi-manager fund better, said Matthew Zschech, portfolio manager of the Alpha fund.
