Goldman Sachs has appointed its Leslie Biddle as CFO of a new merchant-investing unit that will focus on the mining industry, Bloomberg reports. Biddle, currently global head of commodities sales, will focus on the evaluation, structuring and financing of new opportunities.He will continue to report to global head of commodities at Goldman, Isabelle Ealet. Biddle joined the New York-based company in 2002 as vice president in U.S. power sales and has been a partner since 2006.
