Societe Generale has set up a new consumer equity research team in London, Financial News reports. The firm has appointed Warren Ackerman as a managing director of the new team, joining Andrew Holland and Chas Manso de Zuniga who have been appointed as directors to cover the tobacco and household and personal care sectors.

The trio will work under Matthew Jordan, head of equity research London. Jamie Norman has also joined as director in consumer specialist sales, working under Paul Jackson, head of specialist sales. Previously, all four worked at Evolution Securities.
