THIRD TEAM
Dennis Jullens UBS
Unranked last year, Dennis Jullens of UBS reclaims third place, the position the Amsterdam-based solo act held in 2009. Jullens is credited with keeping investors up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, but he earns extra points for delving into valuation measures in a series of reports last year that examined the role of returns on invested capital, concluding that incremental ROIC was more forward-looking than average ROIC and therefore more relevant to market value. “His innovative approach was particularly thought-provoking for gauging potential merger and acquisition opportunities,” explains one devotee.
