Jonathan Yip has joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a director focusing on China debt coverage, FinanceAsia reports. Yip will be responsible for both investment-grade and high-yield China debt at the bank. He will work under Ranobir Mukherji, head of debt capital markets for Asia ex-Japan and Australia.
Jimmy Choi, Merrill’s head of structured debt products, will continue to manage the high-yield desk and Yip will assist him in covering China. Yip, who is presently on leave, has formerly served as a director at Credit Suisse.
