Bloomberg will acquire all the outstanding shares of news analysis and reference products publisher BNA. The U.S. financial software, media and data company will pay a total of $990 million for the acquisition.

The buyer will pay $39.50 for per BNA share. Thomson Reuters and Reed Elsevier were the other bidders for BNA, adds Financial Times. The transaction is expected to be completed in 2011.
