New York City is seeking to raise $515 million through a sale of tax-free bonds, Reuters reports. Citigroup has been appointed to serve as the lead underwriter for the transaction.
On the day of issuance, the city will competitively sell $85 million of taxable fixed-rate bonds. It will also offer $175 million of tax-exempt variable rate demand bonds on Aug. 8, 2011.
