The Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities Co. analyst tracks ten of Japan’s telecommunications companies, an increase of two over the past year. He continues to maintain a bullish outlook on the group, which rocketed 59.5 percent over the 12 months through mid-March, trouncing the broad market by 47.8 percentage points. “Most of the players will enjoy historically high earnings results,” he predicts, even despite uncertainty surrounding potential Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications changes to the nation’s telecoms policy. Tsusaka is currently touting Tokyo-based giants KDDI Corp. and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. “NTT is particularly attractive due to its focus on shareholder returns and its discipline in achieving midterm business plan targets,” says Tsusaka.See also Tetsuro Tsusaka's profile in the 2013 All-Japan Research Team. |
