The researchers cover 19 regional telecommunications companies and are neutral on the group. “Unlike in the previous two years,” says the London-based squad leader, we are not so convinced about overweighting the mobile versus the fixed-line assets, and our overall level of conviction about the sector is lower.” The primary challenges this group of companies is facing include, the “levels of consolidation and competition, [long-term evolution] licensing and investments, quality of managements, and economic and geopolitical risks,” Vavruska sums up.
