| Aditya Srinath & team | | J.P. Morgan | After three years in the runner-up position, J.P. Morgan bolts to second place. The Jakarta-based foursome is conducted by Aditya Srinath — “one of the brightest strategists in Indonesia, providing useful market insights and timely calls,” insists one buy-side loyalist. The analysts cover 43 stocks. They upgraded Bank Central Asia from underweight to overweight in October, at 8,068.47 rupiah, largely on rising interest rates. By the end of April, shares of the Jakarta-based financial services provider had surged 33.2 percent, to Rp10,750, and outpaced Indonesia’s broad market by 18.8 percentage points. “Aditya has made the franchise the best in the region despite having a smaller head count than competitors,” cheers one New York–based pension fund manager. — Ben Mattlin
